Antimicrobial paint / vacuum metalization

Simply added to the top coat, the antimicrobial agent slows the growth of microbes.

Active oxygen generated by the catalytic effect of silver causes damage to the cell membranes of microbes and slows their growth. The antimicrobial agent has no adverse effect on health. Since the agent is added to the top coat, it does not affect the contents either, and so is safe to use.

■ The antimicrobial paint supports various
decorative options.

The antimicrobial agent, which is added to the top coat, is usable on both painted and vacuum metalized products.

■ Principles of action and effect
of antimicrobial paint

Active oxygen generated by the catalytic action of silver damages the protein membrane of bacteria and slows their growth.

■ Safety assurance
The antimicrobial agent passed testing in accordance with JIS Z 2801 “Antibacterial products–Test for antibacterial activity and efficacy.” It prevents the growth of bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli. The agent is certified to carry the SIAA mark established by the Society of International sustaining growth for Antimicrobial Articles (SIAA) and is safe to use.
